An exciting charity event, The Central Park Plunge 2016, was recently held in Perth. Two of the brave participants were 80 year old “super grannies” Helen and Gloria. These inspirational ladies abseiled fearlessly down from the roof top of one of Perth’s highest buildings. As they soared 220 metres down the Central Park Tower they raised money for Ronald McDonald House, an organisation they have worked as volunteers for. Other charities involved in the event were The Fiona Wood Foundation, Anglicare WA, and Kid’s Camps. The event to date has raised a total of $483, 225.03, which must make these two daring and courageous grandmothers feel extremely proud of themselves.
